Googlephone Coming?
Does anyone care? I’m always interested in knowing about any new phone, and there’s been a bit of speculation about a phone from Google. The Big G has filed a patent that supposedly gives the GPhone predictive search capabilities. But Russell Shaw thinks that the GPhone might doom Google Talk. I’m inclined

to agree, since GTalk is extremely feature-poor compared to other VoIM clients. If developing the GPhone means neglecting GTalk, then yeah, I think GTalk will fall into oblivion.

SkypeOut Problems - Again
While I putting in a call to customer support for the web host I use for one of my websites, I used my North American unlimited SkypeOut promoto call from Canada to somewhere in NewYork, I think. As happened to methe last time I called them using Skype, they couldn’t hear more than aword or two of what I was saying.

So, so far I’ve beendisappointed with SkypeOut to some phones. On the other hand, if I makelocal calls, there’s very little noise or other signal degradations.Maybe there are other factors in play here. Like poor quality phones onthe other end? Anyone experienced something similar?
