Wing Takes Flight
Yesterday, T-Mobile launched the “Wing” in the US, their new Wi-Fi equipped smartphone. We expect a flood of new devices to hit the market in the following months since everyone is racing to keep their leading edge position while anticipating next months availability of the Apple iPhone.
The Wing operates on GSM based wireless infrastructure and like the iPhone, gives users high speed data access via Wi-Fi. Mobile operators have been
somewhat reluctant to enable the phones they sell with Wi-Fi because of the concern they will lose voice revenue to VoIP companies. With the release of the Wing, T-Mobile is demonstrating they understand that customers are going expect high speed data services and it’s better to be in front of that parade than behind it.

Shown here is a protoype of Jajah running on on the Wing. As we announced with the Apple iPhone and the LG Prada phone, Jajah allows any smartphone with a browser to directly make free or low cost global long distance calls, with just a single click, without needing to install any client. You simply set up a Jajah account and go to mobile.jajah.com on your phones’ browser and you’re free to call the world.

Enjoy JAJAH’s low-cost global calling right from your cell phone and get rid of roaming charges while travelling.
